Swimming
Blue Jay swimming has been defined by an unyielding work ethic since the stopwatch-and-chalkboard days. Jesuit swimmers uphold a singular team standard that has endured across generations of New Orleans and Louisiana prep swimming.

With over 40 straight district championships and a long metro run, the program’s depth in strokes and relays turns daily discipline into results—and habits that carry beyond the lane lines.
Jesuit swimming’s long streak of success is built on balance across events and reliable relay scoring. State performance match the trends set in dual meet, district, and metro competition: the team clinched Division I team titles in 2021 and 2022, with multiple state records set in 2022. The lineage stretches back to the school’s first LHSAA swim crown in 1951 and includes the LHSAA mark for most consecutive state championships in any sport, a benchmark that still shapes expectations. The through line is simple—repeatable sets, technical precision, and the team first.
