Bowling
While rewarding individual tenacity and technique, bowling becomes a deeply team-oriented game as the scoresheet fills up. Prioritizing six steady scores over one hot hand, Blue Jay bowling teaches that every frame matters.

From a record-setting 2021 season, a 2022 district title, and the team’s first Catholic League championship in 2023, Jesuit bowling’s recent success has come from a distinctly team-first approach.
Jesuit coaches Blue Jays to grow as student-athletes by learning the full craft of competitive bowling, not just how to throw strikes. Jesuit teams study form, equipment, and match strategy and then convert knowledge into results on the lanes. In 2021, the Blue Jays rolled a 3,951 team series that set school and state marks. A year later, they won the Louisiana High School Invitational in Baton Rouge.
The team secured its first Catholic League championship in 2023, and the school’s championship history records district bowling titles in both 2023 and 2024. In 2025, the Blue Jays reached the state semifinals for the first time since 2014
The program’s identity is clear: calm under pressure, deep through the lineup, and disciplined enough to make one frame at a time add up by the end of a match.
