Career Planning

In order to help students focus on their abilities and to help them define their interest in a way that will make college and career choices meaningful, counselors meet with their students regarding the many issues surrounding career choice.

Students of all grade levels are encouraged to initiate contact with either grade level counselors or college counselors to explore various career options.

Beginning in their junior year, students are called in to address career issues along with the regular college exploration process.

Taking full advantage of Internet resources, various occupational publications, Jesuit’s annual Career Day, career shadowing hosted by Jesuit alumni, and individual guidance from their counselors, students are better positioned to understand their interests and aptitudes that enable them to make more appropriate college and career choices.

Career Day 2026

Alumni may give back to their school in many ways. The best way to give back is by your presence at school and alumni events. Fill out the form below to volunteer as a Career Day speaker. Please note that while we review all submissions, not all volunteers may be selected due to space and scheduling limitations. For more information, contact James Linn, alumni director, at (504) 483-3851 or linn@jesuitnola.org.
