Alumni Events

Throughout the year a variety of events are held for alumni to get involved, re-connect, and celebrate with the Jesuit High School of today.

Blue Jay Bazaar

On the last Sunday of March, the Jesuit family fills the campus for lots of fun, food, refreshments, and entertainment for the Blue Jay Bazaar.

Jesuit Golf Classic

The Jesuit Golf Classic held each spring is about much more than playing golf. It’s about having fun and experiencing Blue Jay Spirit while enjoying a day on the links. Alumni golfers compete for the coveted class cup.

Career Day

This January event allows alumni to connect with today’s Jays in a very specific way—by offering practical advice on a variety of careers at their alma mater on Career Day.

Celebration

Alumni join current parents for Celebration, a annual gala event featuring an auction, great food and refreshments, and entertainment.

Chapter Reunions

Alumni reside around the world. Chapter reunions provide for connecting and networking in cities outside the New Orleans area.

Class Reunions

The lifeline of alumni connection is the class reunion. Every five years classes come together to celebrate being a Blue Jay.

Commencement Luncheon

On the seniors’ final school day, alumni welcome the soon-to-be graduates into the Alumni Association at the popular Commencement Luncheon, a ballroom event.

Alumni Homecoming Mass & Reception

Every fall alumni gather at their Alma Mater for the Alumni Homecoming Mass & Reception, the event at which the alumnus of the year is awarded the F. Edward Hebert Alumnus of the Year Award. During the event, the 25- and 50-year classes celebrate their special milestone reunions as well.

Rivalry Game

Jesuit vs. Holy Cross has been designed as a Great American Rivalry,  The fifth oldest continuously played rivalry in the nation is an occasion for celebration. Both schools join together for a huge pre-game party featuring food, refreshments, entertainment, and even a parade.

Thanksgiving Drive

While the students are providing Thanksgiving meals for needy families, so too are the alumni as they return to their alma mater to purchase, package, and deliver food items in this annual event.
