Weather Forces Early End of Golf Match Against Crusaders
Bad weather forced the postponement of a head-to-head with Brother Martin on Thursday, March 19. Golfers got off o.k., but rain forced them off the Lakewood Golf Club course before completion of the match. Coaches will attempt to reschedule before the end of the spring season.
On March 17, Jesuit crushed Metairie Park Country Day at English Turn, 157-193. The Blue Jays, who are coached by Owen Seiler ’75 and Sean Hillis, kicked off the spring campaign on Monday, March 16, by knocking off Isidore Newman at Lakewood Golf Club, 148-170.
Jesuit will compete in the Beau Chene High School Classic on March 20-21. Junior Grant Glorioso won the individual title at last year’s tournament, as a sophomore.
The Jays face Holy Cross on March 23, at Lakewood.
