Advanced Placement Exam Registration Forms Available
Registration for Advanced Placement (AP) exams is open now through April 1, 2015. Students who score well on these exams typically receive college credit at the institution where they will enroll.
Registration Process
Students must complete a Jesuit AP Registration Form, available in the Guidance Office on the second floor of the administration building.
In order to complete this registration form, students must get the signature of their AP teacher. The purpose of this is two-fold.
- It is important that all members of the AP faculty are aware of which students take the exam.
- This will give the AP teacher the opportunity to have a frank discussion about the student’s probability of being successful on the exam. This conversation is not to discourage the student from taking the AP exam, but to give students a realistic idea of whether or not they will score high enough on the exam to receive college credit.
Payment must be remitted upon submission of the registration form.
Fees
The AP Exam fee is $91 per exam. NOTE: Jesuit must pay a penalty fee for exams which are ordered and not used. We must therefore keep a $25 processing fee should you sign up and then wish to cancel. Make check payable to Jesuit High School.
Deadlines
Students taking AP exams must follow all stated deadlines.
- Registration Deadline – April 1, 2015 (Orders placed after April 10 will incur a $60 late registration fee.)
- Cancellation Deadline – April 24, 2015
General Items
All AP exams must be taken as scheduled. If there is a conflict between your final exam (seniors or students scheduled for late AP exams) and your AP exam, you must see Ms. Juhas to reschedule your final exam.
No late exams will be given for students with AP conflicts resulting from an optional event (retreat, college visit, vacation). The only exceptions for scheduling a late AP exam are an unforeseen emergency or a mandatory school sponsored Jesuit event (i.e. advancement in the competition of an extracurricular activity). Students are charged an additional $50 to take late exams.
