If it was a boxing match, the referee would have stopped it at after the first quarter.

The Blue Jay lacrosse team lambasted the Lafayette Hurricanes on Saturday, March 29, 24-0. Jesuit led 9-0 after the first 12-minute period. The game was played on a sloppy field at Plantation Elementary School in Lafayette.

Sophomore Josh Cvitanovich led the Blue Jay scoring attack with five goals. Senior Arman Alizadeh and sophomore Max Murret chipped in with three goals a piece. Sophomore Kyle Westholz and freshman Parker Simoneaux each had two goals. Murret added three assists.

Junior Eric Wright and sophomore Rob Hinuyb were air-tight in goal. Both were helped immensely by an outstanding defense.

A large and vociferous crowd is expected when the Blue Jays return to district action against St. Paul’s on Saturday, April 5. The game, which is expected to decide the district crown, will be played at Hunter Stadium in Covington.
