Prospective Blue Jays
Jesuit utilizes Blackbaud online application management system for all aspects of the admissions process allowing prospective students and families to register for events, apply, submit materials, and track application status.

Applicant Checklist
1. Fill out the Inquiry Form
Prospective families should complete the form above to learn more about Jesuit. Once the form is submitted, a Blackbaud account will be generated automatically for your family, granting access to the entire admissions process.
2. Register for Admissions Events
We offer a number of opportunities to experience Jesuit. Our admissions events provide families with opportunities to interact with our students, faculty, and administration in a variety of settings.
Registration for all events will be available here beginning August 15.
➥ Campus Tour
Prospective students and their families are invited to take a Campus Tour with a member of our admissions team. Campus Tours provide families with the opportunity to visit Jesuit High School during a typical school day. Prospective students and their families will encounter several aspects of Jesuit including school tradition, student life, academic life, co-curricular activities and sports, tuition and financial aid, and the admissions process. Our goal is for families to leave informed, impressed, and inspired.
The Campus Tour lasts approximately two hours.
Campus tours are designed for small groups; registration is limited. Campus Tours will resume in September 2025.
➥ Prospective Parent Preview
September 17, 2025
6:30 p.m.
Parents of prospective students in all grades are invited to attend Prospective Parent Preview in the Jesuit Auditorium.
This event is designed specifically for prospective parents and guardians only. Attendees will be presented information on an array of topics including pre-freshman and freshman year curriculum, the admissions process, tuition and financial aid, athletics and co-curriculars, and student life. Our goal is that all attendees leave with as much information and peace of mind moving forward.
Prospective Parent Preview lasts approximately one hour.
Registration for Prospective Parent Preview is required and will be available here beginning August 15.
➥ Blue & White Night
September 20, 2025
6:00 p.m.
Prospective students currently in 6th through 8th grades are invited to attend Blue & White Night, an evening of excitement, food, and fun under the lights at our majestic John Ryan Stadium. Blue & White Night is a great opportunity for prospective students to see how enjoyable being a Jesuit Blue Jay can be as students from our athletic teams and co-curricular organizations along with members of our faculty and staff display what “student life” is all about.

Registration for Blue & White Night is required and will be available here beginning August 15.
➥ Momentum
October 18, 2025
8:30 a.m.
Prospective students currently in the 7th and 8th grades are invited to attend the third annual Momentum event. Momentum is an exciting, fun, and unique opportunity for prospective students to gain hands on experience while delving into a variety of disciplines within the sciences, mathematics, and the arts. Participants will be led by members of our esteemed faculty and enthusiastic student body through a series of course offerings designed to build academic momentum. Prospective students may find themselves coding in the robotics lab, participating in a wide range of scientific experiments, competing in academic games, and/or testing their acting and improvisational skills.
This event begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Space is limited. Registration closes either when the event reaches capacity or by Tuesday, October 14th @ 9:00 a.m.

➥ Blue Jay Band Experience
October 18, 2025
begins at 3:00 p.m
If you play a musical instrument and want to experience what it is like being part of the Blue Jay Band, then this is the event for you. Prospective students currently in 5th through 8th grades are invited to attend the Blue Jay Band Experience, an event that allows participants the opportunity to be part of the Jesuit High School Band for one of the most exciting nights of the year. Participants will meet at Jesuit, rehearse with the band, and travel with the band to Tad Gormley Stadium to perform in front of thousands of fans as Jesuit takes on Holy Cross at the annual Rivalry Game.
The Blue Jay Band Experience concludes after the game at approximately 10 p.m.

➥ Open House
November 5, 2025

Prospective students and their families are invited to experience Jesuit High School’s Open House. For those looking for the most comprehensive overview of Jesuit High School, this is the event to attend.
Open House allows prospective families to meet several members of our school community including students, alumni, faculty, staff, coaches, and parents who are all eager to share their Jesuit High School experience.
During this evening event, prospective families will tour the campus and its facilities guided by a well informed and enthusiastic student. Prospective families will learn more about Jesuit’s rigorous academic program, highly competitive athletic teams, co-curricular activities, the admissions process, and tuition and financial aid. Prospective families will have the chance to experience the school that has prepared young men of competence, conscience, and compassion throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area for over 175 years.
Parking is available on Will Clark Field (cars enter from Banks Street).
Open House lasts approximately two hours.

3. Apply to Jesuit
To complete the application process, students are required to submit a Jesuit Application, submit the Required Student Records, and take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).
➥ Jesuit Application
Complete the Jesuit application form which includes a non-refundable $30 application fee.
Request records from current school using the Transcript Request form available in September 2025. Jesuit requires three years of records including grades, discipline and standardized testing. Please print, complete, and give it to your child’s current school.
➥ Required Student Records
Along with the application form please submit the following: cumulative school record, any standardized test scores, copies of all report cards (including their most recent report card or first semester grades), discipline reports, and attendance records. Catholic elementary school students are also required to submit the Archdiocesan Application Form.
Archdiocesan Application Form
- Catholic elementary schools will make the Archdiocesan Application Form available to their students directly. On the last line of this form, identify the Selected High School your child hopes to attend for the 2026-2027 school year. Once the form is completed, return it to your son’s elementary school, which will forward it, along with all of the Required Student Records, to Jesuit High School. This form will be disbursed to students from their elementary school in November 2025. Exact date has yet to be released by Archdiocese of New Orleans.
- All other elementary schools (public or private) are not required to submit this form, but are to send the Required Student Records to Jesuit High School.
➥ High School Placement Testing
Required for All Applicants
All applicants to Jesuit High School will take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The $30 one time, non-refundable, non-transferable fee is included with the application fee paid on Blackbaud.
Applicants must complete the online Jesuit Application prior to testing, as it also serves as registration for the HSPT.
Placement Test Day Procedures
- Drop-off begins at 7 a.m. in the courtyard.
- Drivers should enter the campus at the corner of Solomon Street and Banks Street, proceed to the brick courtyard, and drop off their student.
- Students should arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. to check in and walk to their classroom.
- Students must be seated in their testing rooms no later than 7:40 a.m., and testing will last until approximately 11:40 a.m.
- Pick-up will follow the same procedure as drop-off.
Items to Bring & Dress Code
- A printed copy of your most recent report card
- Two sharpened #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils, please)
- Calculators are not allowed
- Attire is casual
Although all records are taken into consideration, results of testing administered on this day may be used not only to determine high school placement, but also to determine admission.
