Seven Period Day, Day 4B
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place today in the 2nd floor chapel. Benediction will begin at 12:14.
- Bidding for the FIFA Tournament to benefit the 2022 Mission Drive concludes today at the end of lunch. Starting bids for each team are $5. All bids must be submitted by the end of lunch to qualify for the Tournament. See Joe Liberto or Richard Tonry with questions.
- Juniors attending the March Kairos retreat should attend a brief meeting today at the start of lunch in Room 220.
- The Jesuit Investment club will meet today during the second half of lunch in room 334. Please bring your phone powered off.
- The varsity baseball team will continue play in the Jay Patterson Shootout tonight at St. Amant with first pitch set for 6:30. On Saturday the team concludes Jay Patterson play facing Live Oak at 3:30 and Dutchtown at 5:30 with both games being played at Dutchtown.
- The 9th grade baseball team plays at Rummel this afternoon at 4:00. On Saturday the team faces St. Charles Catholic at 1:00 and E.D. White at 3:30 with both games being played at E.D. White.
- The JV baseball team faces Catholic at 2:30 and Walker at 4:45 on Saturday afternoon with both games being played at Walker.
- The 8th grade baseball team will host John Curtis at 10:00 and Rummel at 12:00 on Saturday at John Ryan Stadium.
- The varsity lacrosse team will host Strake Jesuit on Saturday afternoon at Joe Yenni starting at 3:00.
- The varsity rugby team will host Strake Jesuit on Saturday starting at 12:00. The “B” rugby team will face Bayou at 1:30, while the “C” team will play Strake at 11:00. The matches will take place at Marconi.
- The tennis team will face Catholic High on Saturday afternoon at City Park starting at 1:00.
- Slam n Jam T-shirts will be distributed after Wednesday’s English exams and Thursday’s Math exams in the Student Council Office, Room 113.
- Second-notice printing fee bills for the month of February have been distributed in homeroom. To avoid losing computer services and receiving a PH, students should pay their bill in Room 215 before school, at 10-minute break, or during the lunch hour before Thursday, March 17.
Results:
- Congratulations to the Jesuit bowling team for capping off an outstanding regular season with a 26-1 victory over Pope John Paul II of Slidell. Junior Willy Carpenter had a pair of 220-plus games. Junior Preston Roark rolled the high score of the day, a 236. The team finishes the regular season with a record of 10-2.
- The senior intramural basketball league concluded its tournament on Monday, with a nail-biting performance from both teams. The Mid-City Mambas persevered in the end with a game winning shot by Connor Kulivan, who was unanimously selected as finals MVP. Congratulations.
