Regular Order, Day 4

  • Come enjoy fellowship, a talk, prayer, and a free dinner with students from both Jesuit and Dominican at Campus Ministry’s Truth & Glory event this Tuesday from 4-6:30pm. Register with Mr. Miraflor or Mr. Blair in the new Campus Ministry office, Room 103, next to the old switchboard.
  • The SABR club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 331 to sign up for the organization resources.
  • All pre-freshmen and freshmen interested in participating in the Math Competitions that will be held in January should meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 330.  See Mrs. Merritt if you have any questions.
  • The Chess Club will meet today after school in Room 332.
  • The 8th grade soccer team will host Holy Cross this evening at John Ryan Stadium starting at 4:45.
  • The junior varsity soccer team will host Ben Franklin tonight at John Ryan Stadium starting at 6:00.
  • Any 8th grader interested in trying out for the 8th grade baseball team should meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in the baseball locker room.
  • Any student interested in trying out for the 9th grade, JV and Varsity baseball teams should meet on Wednesday during the first half of the lunch in the baseball locker room.
  • The Mock Trial Team will hold an organizational meeting on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in Room 122.

Results:

  •  Congratulations to Will Sheridan for being named to the Jesuit Invitational Basketball Tournament. All-Tournament team.
  • The wrestling team competed in 3 events this past weekend. The 8th Grade wrestlers finished 3-1 in duals this weekend at Rummel. 12 of our Junior Varsity wrestlers competed in the George Trygg Varsity tournament at Grace King, finishing in 3rd place as a team. Grant Goebel placed 2nd. Jose Rincon and Aidan Nash placed 3rd. And James Nolan and JP Webre placed 4th.
  • The Varsity wrestling team travelled to Florida for the Border Wars tournament competing against teams from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana. Bodi Harris, Jackson Calderaro, and Griffin Ellis all finished as individual champions in their weight classes. Chase Haydel placed 2nd. Michael Barnett, John Michael Bourgeois, Grant Herbert, Arthur Schott, and Patrick Matthews placed 3rd. Max Belsome placed 6th. These individual performances earned enough points to be named team tournament champions.
