Regular Order, Day 6

Senior Day

  • The Jesuit Investment club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 334. 
  • The varsity tennis team will conclude play in the state tennis tournament today in Monroe.
  • The varsity lacrosse team will face St. Thomas More in a state semifinal contest tonight at Joe Yenni Stadium starting at 8:00.  Should the team emerge victorious, the state championship game will take place on Sunday afternoon at Joe Yenni Stadium starting at 4:00.
  • The jv lacrosse team will face Archbishop Shaw in a Division 2 state semifinal contest on Saturday afternoon at Joe Yenni Stadium starting at 1:00.  Should the team win on Saturday, they will advance to the Division 2 state championship game at Joe Yenni on Sunday starting at 12:00.
  • The Mini-Golf Club will be meeting this Saturday at City Putt at 1:00 pm. Participants should bring $10.

Results:

  • This past weekend the Academic Games team traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, to compete in the annual Academic Games National Tournament. The junior high team of sophomores Parker Alig, Max Bartlett, Mason Becker, Charlie Garitty, and Christian Smith took home several trophies. The team placed 2nd in Current Events, 3rd in Equations, 4th in On-Sets, and 4th in Presidents. In Current Events, Mason Becker and Parker Alig finished in 2nd and 10th place individually. The junior team’s hard work earned themselves a 5th place overall finish in sweepstakes. At the senior high level, junior Wade Rogers earned several individual awards. Notably placing 3rd in Current Events, 6th in Presidents, and 7th in sweepstakes. However, Wade’s biggest accomplishment was winning first place in the game of Propaganda, his first national title. Congratulations.
  • These are the results from the Regional Track Meet held Wednesday night in Thibodaux.  The following athletes have qualified for the State Meet to be held next Saturday in Baton Rouge at LSU. 3rd place finishers are: Logan Daigle in the discus and Augie Berner in the Long jump. 2nd place finishers are: Leland Crawford in the 1600 meters and Lucas Sampedro in the 3200 meters. Regional Champions are: Jack Larriviere in the javelin, Michael Vocke in the 1600 meters, Jack DesRoches in the 3200 meters and the 4×800 meter Relay team of Patrick Dowd, Brady Mullen, Robert Buisson, and Aeric Wender.   Congratulations.
