Day 5

• Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place throughout the day today in the 2^nd floor chapel.
• The varsity football team will face Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon at Strawberry Stadium on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.  The 101^st edition of the Great American Rivalry Series contest will kick off at 1:05 p.m.  The game will be broadcast live on CST.  Our ticket allotment is completely sold out.   Note that student ID’s will not be accepted for admission and there will be no tickets available for purchase at the gate.
• Students are reminded that a $100 Blue Jay Shop gift certificate is up for grabs for the student Rivalry Game Instagram post that garners the most likes. The photo or video must be posted before kickoff of Saturday’s game, it must include the Rivalry pennant that you received in homeroom, and it must adhere to school social media guidelines. Remember, to be eligible you must tag @jesuitnola.
• Paintball club will have its first meeting today during the first half of each lunch in the auditorium.
• Now that McFly and Doc have brought back Blue Jay Spirit to our campus, let’s put it to use for the Rivalry Game. Join us in the courtyard during the second halves of lunch as we recognize our Senior football players.
• Students interested in joining the The Blue Jay Newspaper staff will meet today after school in Room 314.
• The varsity cross country team will compete in the Newman Classic on Saturday at City Park starting at 9:00.  The jv race follows at 10:00.
• The Beach Volleyball Team will have practice on Monday at 4:30 at White Sands and games will begin on Tuesday. Please see Mrs. Catalano with any questions.
• All 8^th graders are to report to the auditorium during at the start of their respective lunch period for class level meetings with Coach Songy on Monday, October 19.  Do not miss this meeting.
• Admission representatives from Maryville College and Loyola Marymount University will be available immediately after school today in Rooms 120-122.
• Attention Seniors: Your bathroom pep rally scheduled for today is cancelled. See Coach Songy if you have any questions.
