Regular Order, Day 3

  • The Herpetology club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 228. 
  • All students going on the March for Life must meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 316. 
  • The Foosball Club and the Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 329.
  • The Fencing Club will meet today after school in Room 239. 
  • The swimming team is reminded to report to the Carrollton Ave. steps this afternoon at 3:30 for the Hall of Champions photo.
  • Varsity football players will meet tomorrow immediately after school.
  • National Honor Society members are reminded to bring their assigned donated items for the Thanksgiving baskets to Room 317 by Tuesday. If you forgot what you are to bring, see Mrs. Tassin or Check the canvas page.
  • Juniors: If you are interested in competing for the Carson Scholars Foundation Scholarship for $1,000, you will need to submit an application to Guidance by Nov. 28. The form is available in your College Counseling class in Canvas. Competitive students will have above a 4.2 GPA and be deeply engaged in service activities beyond Jesuit’s requirements. Jesuit can only nominate one student, so the process will be selective. See your counselor if you have questions.

Results:

  • The JV basketball team beat Mandeville to start the season 2-0.  Josh Washington led the team offensively with 14 points.  The team was led defensively by Jordan Johnson. 
  • On Thursday, the basketball team defeated Mandeville 56-26.  Elijah Morgan led the way scoring 22 points, Nick Artigues added 10. Zach DeBlieux led a staunchy defense that held the opponent to 4 total points in the 1st and 3rd quarter.  The game, also was the occasion for Elijah scoring his 1,000th point as a Jesuit basketball player.
  • On Saturday, the basketball team, led by the defensive play of Nick Artigues and Zach DeBlieux, defeated Franklinton, 72 – 36. Elijah Morgan led the offensive effort with 26 points and Kyle Haupt added 16. Elijah had 9 rebounds as well.
