On Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, the San Francisco Giants announced that the organization will officially retire Will Clark’s number 22 next season. Clark, a Blue Jay graduate from the Class of 1982, was humbled and honored to be associated with some of the biggest names in baseball. “To know I’m going to be out on that wall with Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Barry Bonds,” Clark said, “is absolutely unbelievable.”

“I came up as a Giant, this is my first organization. This is where I learned to be a big leaguer. To be linked with the greatest to ever play the sport here in San Francisco, it’s absolutely amazing,” said Clark.
