The sailing team competed at the Mississippi State Championship at Bay Waveland Yacht Club, finishing 2nd in fleet racing and 1st in team racing. Team members included seniors David Karcher, Aidan McKoin, Matthew Brown, Jonathan Brockhoff; junior Arthur Meade; and freshmen Jack Meade, Parker Lilly, Harrison Teske, and Liam Moore, with Reed Gibbs also contributing in fleet racing.

Jesuit Men of Color (JMOC) students celebrated the end of the quarter with lunch at Dooky Chase Restaurant. Dooky Chase IV ’00, proud alum and owner of the famed New Orleans restaurant, stopped by to visit with the group.

Juniors explored a wide range of organizations at the Service Fair, learning about meaningful opportunities to complete their 100-hour service project. They connected directly with representatives, asked questions, and signed up to receive more information about ways to get involved and make an impact in the community.

Members of Jesuit’s Sports Analysis Club enjoyed a fun night together at a Pelicans game over Christmas break, taking in the action beyond the classroom. Students Nick Abadie, Gareth Berner, Connor Boyd, Gabriel Espinoza, John Fuselier, Owen Koloski, Luke Kurica, Wills LeBourgeois, Trey Ross, Tristan Rude, Sam Russo, Kennedy Smith, Wyatt Stropolo, Thomas Traina, and Jackson White attended with moderator Justin Genovese.

Pre-freshman Miller Knapp whips around the course during Sleigh Rides hosted by Student Council as part of Advent Week. The event featured a few twists and turns, adding some fun to the Commons.

In a wild flag football intramural finale, the juniors stunned the seniors with a last-second diving catch into the painted Blue Jays end zone on Will Clark Field. The championship came down to a single play—and the juniors delivered, sealing their victory in dramatic fashion.

The use of sensory stimulants like incense gave Jesuits a common framework with the North American nations they encountered on missionary trips. At Open House, senior Sebastian Hewett speaks to guests about the role of altar servers.

Students packed the Commons at lunch for Jesuit’s pumpkin decorating contest. Each House had its own table with pumpkins and supplies ready to go. Alumni gathered in Ignatius Hall this week to make phone calls for the Alumni Giving Drive. With some of the most dedicated Blue Jays around, Jesuit alumni recognize the value of their education and show their gratitude by supporting their alma mater each year. Through the Alumni Giving Drive, they help preserve Jesuit’s heritage and traditions for current and future Blue Jays. Jesuit is truly blessed with loyal alumni who are committed to keeping a Jesuit education accessible to as many families as possible.

Seniors Ryan Gourgeot, Aidan McKoin, and Brady Monahan recently transformed into investigators in Amy Tassin’s senior forensics elective, where they recreated real-life crime scenes in detailed dioramas. Complete with labeled evidence and scene reports, each project included a presentation breaking down how key forensic techniques learned in class helped solve the case.

In the spirit of Rivalry Game week, students gathered in Traditions Courtyard during lunch to participate in a series of Student Council-sponsored races. Each participant earned points for their house.
