Study Skills Camp

Camp Format

The camp introduces students to a variety of study skills. It includes instruction on note-taking, time management, organization, and test-taking strategies. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes of the end of the session.

John Webre, the camp’s instructor, holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from the University of New Orleans. He has taught Study Skills and English at Jesuit for the past eight years. Before coming to Jesuit, Mr. Webre taught college English, ran the Tutoring Center at Tulane, directed Testing Services at UNO, and administered aptitude tests for the Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation, the oldest and most respected aptitude testing organization in the country.

  • Campers get a short 10- to 15-minute break each day.
