Jesuit defeated Shaw 18 to 9 in a very close bowling match on Thursday, March 12 at the All Star Lanes in Kenner.

After the second game, the Blue Jays had a two point advantage but a 79 pin deficit in total pins. Jesuit needed five of the possible eight points in the third game to secure the match. The Jays bowled came back strong to take six points plus grand total pins for the win.

Junior Peyton Hidalgo led the team with the high series of a 656 with a 257 and a 204. Senior Ben Ainsworth was only four pins behind with a 652 consisting of a 233 and a 230. Senior Chris Ainsworth and junior Jose Cusco added critical 200+ games in the final game with a 256 and a 206 respectively.

The Blue Jays (10-2) will play a non-district game against Brother Martin on Thursday, March 19 and then enter LHSAA regional play on Monday, March 23.
