Junior Peyton Hidalgo finished with a 243 game and a 604 series against St. Martin’s.

Blue Jay bowlers didn’t push themselves to secure their 24-3 victory over St. Michael’s of Baton Rouge in a non-district game on Thursday, Feb. 12.

Even though the Jays averaged under 150, they secured the win early, leading 16-0 after the second game.

“The level of competition was rather low,” said Coach John Prejean. “That will change drastically in our next match against Rummel on the 23rd.”

Notable games were from senior Brett Lorio with a 200 and a 201, senior Jared Ohle with a 245, junior Peyton Hidalgo with a 243, and senior Stephen Browning with a 214.

The league will return to play after the Mardi Gras break. The Jays will bowl against a competitive Rummel team on Monday, Feb. 23. They will have to bring back their “A” game to even the score after a loss to the Raiders earlier this season.
