Track & Field Team Competes in Allstate Sugar Bowl Track & Field Classic

Senior Dominic Engolia competes in the discus throw at the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl Track & Field Classic on Saturday, March 22 in City Park.
The Blue Jay track and field team competed in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Track & Field Classic on Friday and Saturday, March 21-22. The event is one of the largest high school track meets in the region, with more than 2,100 participating boys and girls from 87 schools in five different states – Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
Five Blue Jays finished in the top 10 of their events, including junior Chris Mills, who competed in the 110 meter hurdles, and the 4×800 meter relay team of juniors Michael Schwing and Patrick LaCour and seniors Gabriel Navar and Sean Stephens.
