The Class of 2014 assembled on Will Clark Field at lunch to continue a tradition that began several years ago on the last day of classes for seniors — signing each other’s shirts.

When the dismissal bell rang at 3 p.m., whoops and hollers filled the halls as the 260 members of the Class of 2014 raced out the doors, through the Traditions Courtyard, and onto Will Clark Field to celebrate their last full day of class as Jesuit students.

(For an amazing Jay’s-eye view of the senior exodus, watch the drone video below.)

On Friday, May 2, seniors will come to Jesuit in coat and tie for their final assembly. Afterwards, they will have their class photo taken on the front steps facing Carrollton Avenue, enjoy a spontaneous show in the Jesuit auditorium, feast on donuts at mid-morning,and then board buses for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome where the 13th annual alumni Commencement Luncheon takes place from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Before the earnestness of exams begins next week, the almost-graduates will enjoy the spirit and comity of the Senior Prom at Generations Hall.
