After capturing top honors in the FTC Regional Qualifier in Texas, the Robotics Club traveled to San Antonio for the FTC South Super Regional robotics competition. The event pitted the Blue Jays’ against tough competition from more than 600 other teams, all vying for a coveted 72 spots. Despite the tough competition and some unforeseen obstacles, the Blue Jays were able to win two of six competitions. But it was not enough to take them to the final tournament.

The team is grateful for the experience and hopes the new teams they met (and admired) will help them reach their goals next year.

The Robotics Club is moderated by Physics teacher Kyle White, Mel Triay ’03, and former Jesuit mathematics teacher Eric Leefe ’03.
