Sophomore Hunt Conroy, who had 19 against John Curtis on Thursday, Dec. 4., tallied 15 points in Friday’s CYO Tournament semi-final game against Bro. Martin.
It was a hole just too cavernous to climb out of.
The Blue Jay basketball team fell to Brother Martin, 47-44, on Friday, Dec. 5, in the semi-final round of the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl CYO Basketball Tournament. The semi-final game was played at Jesuit’s Birdcage.
Sophomore Hunt Conroy led the Blue Jays with 15 points. Junior Rob Weiss, who posted a double-double on Thursday against John Curtis, added a dozen.
At one point, Jesuit trailed the Crusaders 27-8. By the end of the third quarter, the Jays had narrowed the lead to just 10. Bro. Martin held on to win by three.
The Blue Jays are 2-1. They return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the Newman Invitational.
