A Precious Gift

At the Class of 1952 spring luncheon, Johnny Paquette surprised alumni director Mat Grau ’68 by presenting his father’s 1925 class ring to the school. Of course, Johnny’s dad was Jesuit’s iconic staff member, John C. Paquette ’25, who spent 70 years as the school’s registrar.

“I think the ring should be at the school right where Dad spent so many years,” said Johnny, a bit emotional.

After the impromptu presentation, Mat told the gathered classmates, “You just never know what is going to come your way when you wake up in the morning. Today something very precious came Jesuit’s way.”

Jesuit High School thanks Johnny and the whole Paquette family for their precious gift.
