MCJROTC Named Overall Meet Champion at Annual Competition

The Jesuit MCJROTC program won the Overall Meet Champion trophy at its 26th Annual Marine Corps Junior ROTC Drill and Physical Fitness Competition. The annual competition at which fifteen schools from Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana competed was held on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Will Clark Field.

Jesuit’s First Team Color Guard, led by senior Garrett Wolff, took first place in color guard drill and second team color guard, led by junior John Grieco, took 3rd.

The Unarmed Drill Team, led by junior Anthony Taffaro, placed 2nd in inspection, first in regulation drill, and 2nd in exhibition drill.

The Armed Drill Team, led by junior Matthew Subervielle, took first in inspection, first in regulation drill, and third in exhibition drill.

Further, junior Keith Gonzales placed first in knockout drill.
