Annually, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve collects toys for local needy children in a Toys for Tots drive. Coming of the heels of a successful Thanksgiving Drive, Blue Jays are called again to be generous to those less fortunate.

The Jesuit MCJROTC is hoping to collect hundreds of toys by sponsoring a homeroom contest. Students should drop off new, unwrapped toys in the boxes provided in their homerooms no through Thursday, Dec. 12. The homeroom that collects the most toys will win a doughnut party to begin the second semester. The winning homeroom will be announced on Monday, Dec. 15.

Toys for Tots was founded in 1995 by the U.S. Marine Corps to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
