Jesuit Hosts Conference for Presidents, Principals, Rectors, and Board Chairs
On Friday, February 14, Jesuit rolled out the “blue” carpet in St. Ignatius Hall for presidents, principals, rectors, and board chairmen representing secondary education schools in the Missouri and New Orleans Provinces of the Society of Jesuit.
The other schools include Arrupe Jesuit High School (Denver), Regis Jesuit High School Boys Division (Denver), Regis Jesuit High School Girls Division (Denver), Jesuit College Preparatory School (Dallas), Tampa Jesuit, Cristo Rey Jesuit College Prep (Houston), Strake Jesuit (Houston), St. Louis Univ. High School, De Smet Jesuit High School (St. Louis), and Rockhurst High School (Kansas City), and St. John’s College (Belize).
Leaders meet semi-annually to share best practices and connect with colleagues from their brother schools. Approximately 45 people are participating in the three day meeting. Among the topics to be discussed is the merger of the two provinces which will take place later this year.
Representing Jesuit High School of New Orleans are Fr. Frank Reale, S.J., who serves as rector of the Jesuit community at Carrollton and Banks, board chairman Arthur Mann ’64, Fr. Raymond Fitzgerald, S.J. ’76 (president), and Peter Kernion ’90 (principal).
