Jesuit Bowling Beats St. Augustine in Season Opener

The Jesuit bowling team  won its season opener against St. Augustine, 24.5 to 2.5, on Thursday, Jan. 23 at AMF Allstar Bowling Lanes in Kenner. Coach John Prejean said, “When seven of nine games for our top three bowlers are over 200, the results will be good.” And the Blue Jays did that just.

Senior Chris Totaro achieved his first ever 700 series, finishing with a 731. His games were 256, 235, and 240. Senior Andrew Prejean followed up with a 607 series with a 221 and a 215. Junior Ben Ainsworth had a 603 series with a 222 game, and junior Chris Ainsworth had a 212 in his first game.

The Blue Jays anticipate a competitive district match against the Rummel Raiders on Monday, Jan. 27.
