Jays Capture Another Win Over Shaw, 74-57
Jesuit basketball claimed victory over Shaw in an away game, 74-57, on Friday, Feb. 14. Even with key seniors Chase Eckholdt and Brett Spansel sitting out, the Jays were able to clinch the win with a decisive lead.
Three Blue Jays contributed 20+ points apiece: junior Trey LaForge with 24 points, senior Grant Nichols with 21, and junior Foster Moreau with 20. Senior Riley Conroy contributed seven and senior Jack Hebert, two.
The Eagles put up a fight, but the Blue Jays kept a tight lead at the half, 33-26. (In their last matchup at home, Jesuit led Shaw 41-13 at halftime.) The Jays opened with a strong 21-point lead in the third quarter and finished the game 17 points ahead, 74-57.
