Coming off a victory over South Terrebonne Monday night, Jesuit (12-7, 0-1) was back in action versus the Rummel Raiders in this season’s first District 9-5A game.

Jesuit trailed by two at half, but came back to take a one point lead heading into the fourth quarter. In the end, cold shooting doomed the Jays as they shot only 36% from the field on the night and struggled from the free throw line.

Offensively, the Jays were led by junior Trey Laforge with 12 and senior Grant Nichols with 10. Senior Brett Spansel and junior Paul Kohnke each added six.

Jesuit will attempt to even the district record when they play at Brother Martin on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m.
