The Jesuit Jayettes will host a clinic for girls interested in trying out for the dance team. The Jayettes are an all-girls dance team composed of girls in 8th-12th grade from local Catholic high schools. The squad supports the Blue Jay Band by performing in basketball and football game half-time shows, parades, school functions, and band competitions. The Jayettes also participates in state dance competitions.

The clinic is open to anyone who will be attending an all-girls Catholic school in the 2014-15 school year and will be entering grades 8-12. The clinic will be designed to help all Jayette hopefuls as well as returning Jayettes prepare for the upcoming tryouts. The cost to attend the clinic is $15.

Jayettes hopefuls attending the clinic will get feedback and help on all technical across-the-floor elements that are to be performed at tryouts, as well as kick technique. Everything needed to know for tryouts, except the dance routine, will be rehearsed at the clinic. The dance routine will be taught the first day of tryouts.

Clinic attendees will also get audition pointers from the Jayettes’ coach and graduating Jayettes. Contact Chloe Crosby with any questions at chloemariecrosby@gmail.com.
