Jesuit came within five strokes of finishing the 2014 fall season with an unblemished record. Grant Glorioso’s 36 wasn’t enough to get the Blue Jays past Isidore Newman on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The non-district match took place at Lakewood Golf Club. Newman won 165-170.

Other scores included Andrew Kuebel’s 42, Jack Volenwider’s 44, and Grayson Glorioso’s 48. All three are freshmen.

The Jays finish the fall season at 10-1. They were undefeated in district competition.

“Our goal was to play a lot of young players and we accomplished that,” said head coach Owen Seiler ’75, who said he’s proud of the way his golfers competed. “I feel good moving into the spring and I’m confident that we’ll compete well in the playoffs.”

Jesuit will host the Beau Chene High School Golf Classic in Mandeville on March 20-21. The Blue Jay team will compete in a national tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over the Easter Holidays.
