Class of 1964 Celebrates 50-Year Reunion
The Class of 1964 celebrated their Golden Anniversary by setting a record for the largest attendance turnaround in reunion history. Chairman Taylor Heard and his committee were determined to improve their attendance from five years ago, and indeed they did, going from 18 attendees in 2009 to 76 attendees in 2014.
On Friday, May 30 the guys returned “home” to Carrollton and Banks for a seafood celebration in the Student Commons. The ladies joined their Blue Jays on Saturday evening for a couples’ reception at the Metairie Country Club.
Encouraged by the spirit of their reunion weekend, the committee is now planning future 1964 events including the fall Alumni Homecoming Mass and Reception.
Congratulations, Class of ’64, and a big Thank You to Taylor Heard and his hard-working committee.
