Calliope, Jesuit’s Literary Magazine, Now Accepting Submissions

Calliope, Jesuit’s literary magazine, is now accepting student submissions of poetry, fiction, personal essays, artwork, and photography for its 2014 issue. Deadline to submit is March 17, 2014. This year’s Calliope will be distributed in the last week of April.

Guidelines

    • Poems and fiction should be typed in a plain font on one side only of 8½ x 11” paper. Writer’s name, grade, and homeroom should be clearly indicated.
    • For artwork (preferably 8 x 12” or smaller) or photographs, attach a cover sheet with name, grade, and homeroom. Please note that all photography and artwork will be published in black and white.
    • Maximum entries per student:
      Poetry: 6 poems
      Fiction and Non-Fiction: 12 pages
      Art and Photography: 5 pieces

How to Submit

You may submit work in the following ways:

a. Give your work directly to Mr. Travis Smith or Mr. Gary Wyss
b. Email your work to smitht@jesuitnola.org or wyss@jesuitnola.org.
c. Place your work in the Calliope mail slot in Room 218
