Chilly temperatures did little to cool off a red-hot Jesuit offense. Fresh off a pair of season-opening wins in Baton Rouge, the Blue Jay lacrosse team blazed its way through the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 25 and Sunday, Jan. 26 in Lafreniere Park.

In Saturday’s preliminary play, the Jays defeated Ocean Springs (6-1), Dutchtown (13-1), and St. Thomas More (13-1). In the semi-final game on Sunday, Jesuit beat Cedar Ridge of Round Rock, TX (9-5). The Jays topped Spain Park of Hoover, AL, 10-7, in a thrilling championship match Sunday afternoon.
