The Father-Son Mass and Breakfast was attended by 450 fathers and their Blue Jay sons on Sunday, Jan. 12 with clear skies and cool temperatures. The event began with Mass celebrated by Fr. Frank Reale, S.J. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where the Blue Jay choir joined the church’s organ player and cantor for singing the hymns. The Blue Jay congregation then walked a short two blocks to enjoy breakfast at the New Orleans Sheraton Hotel. In a brief program, seniors Brendan Besh and C.J. Blagrove each addressed the audience and gave tribute to his father by describing how much his father means to him.
