The Blue Jay Band and a group of exchange students from the Clavius Gymnasium in Bamberg, Germany will hold several joint concerts throughout the week of Oct. 6-10.

The two bands will play Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Deutsches Haus and then Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Rock ‘n’ Bowl. These performances are free and open to the public. Their final performance will be on Friday, Oct. 10. in a lunchtime Brown Bag Concert for students in the courtyard.

Clavius Gymnasium students are spending the week with members of the Blue Jay Band and their families this week as part of a biannual exchange program. The program, in its 15th year, is a musical and cultural exchange between the two schools.

This summer, 50 members of the band, along with 72 of their family members, visited Milan, Florence and Venice Italy before travelling to Bamberg, Germany where they stayed for 10 days. The group spent six days in Northern Italy in the cities of Milan, Florence and Venice and then 10 Days in Bamberg, Germany making day trips to Rothenburg, Erfurt, and Mödlareuth.
