The Banks St. entrance to the school yard will continue to be closed until further notice. Parents and students arriving on campus should enter the school yard via the Palmyra St. entrance. The Palmyra St. entrance will serve as both the entrance and exit for all campus traffic.

The Banks St. entrance to the school yard was temporarily open on Monday, March 10. However, for the safety of students, faculty, and parents, it is closed until the construction project on Banks St. is complete.

The construction project on Banks St. (from Carrollton Avenue to St. Patrick St.) includes resurfacing, pavement patching, curb repair, and installation of ADA-compliant accessible ramps at corners. Construction for the entire project, which also includes repairs on Jefferson Davis Pkwy. and Bienville St., is expected to be complete by March 2014.

The improvements come thanks to the Paths to Progress program, a state and federal initiative to restore Jefferson and Orleans parish roadways. For continual updates on construction progress, visit the Paths to Progress web site or Facebook page.
