The newly formed Acadiana Alumni Chapter of Jesuit High School.

The Acadiana Alumni Chapter of Jesuit High School is off and running. On Saturday, August 23, twenty-seven Jays who reside in the Lafayette area met for a kick-off barbecue featuring the opportunity to cut one’s own steak from one of several rib roasts and grill the steak to the desired doneness. Al “Boo” Trepagnier ’52 took the lead in organizing the stag event and cooking all the side dishes with assistance from Bill Barrois ’64. Also supporting the organization of this inaugural event of the newly-formed chapter were leadership team members Bob Morgan ’52, Jerry Landry ’63, Danny Gillane ’83, and Gerald Hebert ’07.

Jesuit advancement personnel Tom Bagwill and Mat Grau ’68 joined the Acadiana Jays and played Santa Claus handing out gifts of Jesuit shirts and other Blue Jay items. After the Jays enjoyed their personally prepared steaks, Bagwill and Grau provided an overview of life at Carrollton and Banks.

If the level of Blue Jay Spirit at the event is any indication, look for great things from the Jesuit’s Acadiana Alumni Chapter.
