Robotics Team Wins Regional Tournament to Qualify for Championships

The Blue Jay Robotics Team won the South-East Texas Regional Robotics Qualifier Tournament in Houston on Saturday, Dec. 7. By advancing to the finals match and winning this trophy, the robotics team qualified for the Regional Championship Tournament on Feb. 1 in Houston.

Juniors Michael Bellanger, Bryan Jones, and Steven Stradely, and freshmen Todd Crabtree, John Crowson, and Julian Mahfouz participated in the tournament. The team also won the Motivate Award for their Blue and White enthusiasm (see the photo) and teamwork.

The team will next participate in another tournament in January, 2014.
