Retif Turns Attention to American Legion’s State Tournament in Sulphur LA on July 27

Retif Oil pitcher Brett Leonhard ’13 throws Thursday, July 18 during the 2-1 loss to Gauthier & Amedee (Dutchtown) in the American Legion’s Southeast Regional Tournament championship game at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. Leonhard gave up two runs on seven hits, striking out three batters in a complete game effort. Even though Retif was the runner-up of the Regional, the team earned a trip to the State Tournament in Sulphur LA, which starts July 27. Before the tournament, Retif will play a non-district tune-up game against the New Orleans Boosters on Wednesday, July 24 at 6 p.m. at John Ryan Stadium.
