Jays Come Back on Saturday and Defeat the John Ehret Patriots in Five Innings, 11-1; The Jays Play Hahnville in a Non-District Game on Monday, March 25 at 4 PM at John Ryan Stadium

Two days ago, Brother Martin put the hurt on Jesuit at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. The Crusaders won, 8-1, thus setting the stage for an anticipated rematch Friday night in which the Blue Jays would avenge the loss. However, it did not work out quite that way for Jesuit.

The Jays jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning but gave back two runs in the top of the third. The Crusaders scored three more runs in the fourth inning and added one more in the sixth inning. Senior Jesuit pitcher Brett Leonhard struck out four batters and absorbed the loss. He was relieved by senior Andrew Mitchell who struck out seven Crusaders.

The Blue Jays will play the Patriots of John Ehret on Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m. at John Ryan Stadium.

The second meeting between Jesuit and Brother Martin was streamed live on SportsNola.com and will be replayed Monday, March 25 at 8 p.m. on WHNO-TV (Channel 20).
