Swimming Defends Metro Championship Title

Varsity Swimming defended its title in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Metro Swimming Championship with 431 points. which was more than 200 points over second-place Mandeville and third-place Fontainebleau on on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the UNO Aquatic Center.

Blue Jays took first place in four events, helping the team clinch the championship. Junior Michael Conrad took first place in the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle; the relay team of sophomore Cade Fuxan, junior Francis Plough, junior Chris Simmons, and freshman Jack Jackson won first in the 400 yard freestyle relay; and the team of junior Francis Plough, senior Blake Robert, senior Brett Dipuma, and junior Patrick Cecola won first in the 200 yard medley relay.

The Jays will prepare to compete in the state championships which take place Nov. 22-23, in Sulphur.
