Junior running back Michael McMahon sees nothing but daylight ahead on his way to galloping to a 35-yard touchdown run in the third quarter of the Jesuit – Ponchatoula game on September 6 at Tad Gormley Stadium.

It was surf and turf night at Tad Gormley Stadium as the Blue Jays rode the Green Wave of Ponchatoula for a season opening win, 28-23. But that first win is in the past. The Blue Jays are looking to play the Wolves of St. Paul’s on Friday, September 13, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Kickoff is 6 p.m.

Ticket Sales

Pre-sale tickets are $12 each for adult

s, students, and children. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday and Thursday at the switchboard from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. On Friday, tickets will be on sale at the switchboard from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and in the Student Commons during lunch.

All tickets purchased at the Superdome are $15 each. Student and faculty IDs, as well as season passes, will NOT be accepted at the gate.

Tailgate

The tailgate for the Jesuit – St. Paul’s football game will start at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The theme for the game is the “El Switcho.” This means that blue shirts will be worn for the first half of the game; white shirts for the second half. So, wear a blue shirt to the game and bring a white shirt to switch into for the second half.

WWL Radio will broadcast the Jesuit – St. Paul’s game with live play-by-play streamed online and accessible via computer or any mobile device. The broadcast starts at 5:40 p.m.

Look for the large green LISTEN LIVE link. Fr. Raymond Fitzgerald, S.J., president of Jesuit, will be the halftime guest interview.

The game will be available only online and will NOT be broadcast on WWL-870 AM or WWL-105.3 FM. However, the game will be archived and available for listening on demand. Look for the archive link on the WWL Prep Sports web site.
