Looking over the scores posted on the first day of the state tournament in Shreveport are, from left, junior Will Dufour, senior Nick Ingles, junior C.J. Blagrove, and senior Jack Culotta, the team’s alternate. If improvement is the measure of a successful season, coach Owen Seiler should be proud of his Blue Jay golfers.

Blue Jay Golfers Shave Seven Strokes Off Their First Round Score at East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport

After posting a team score of 323 in Monday’s opening round of the LHSAA state tournament in Shreveport, the Blue Jays bounced back with a 316 on Tuesday, April 30. Freshman Grant Glorioso carded a 77. Junior C.J. Blagrove finished with a 78. Freshman Carlo Carino entered the clubhouse at 79. Nick Ingles, the only senior in the starting line-up, shot an 82. Junior Will Dufour’s 83 did not count toward the team total. With so many golfers returning to next year’s squad, the future of Jesuit golf is bright.
