Homecoming Pep Rally Revs Up Blue Jay Spirit
Students filled the Bird Cage to participate in a grand pep rally, one of the week’s final pregame Homecoming activities, on Friday, Oct. 25. Jesuit’s Cheerleaders, Jayettes, and Blue Jay Band entertained the students, faculty, staff, and parents who attended the rally.
Student council members led the cheers and presented a comical fantasy football game in which the Jesuit vs. Rummel teams were filled with historical and memorable players. During halftime of the fantasy football game, Blue Jays were inspired by special guest speaker Blaine Loupe ’13, who was last year’s student council president. The game was won with a touchdown made by none other than Jayson, himself.
Seniors followed the age-old tradition of wearing wild costumes and making a grand exit and re-entrance to the gym.
With lots of Blue Jay Spirit and near-perfect weather, the Homecoming Game is expected to be well-attended.
