The ninth-seeded basketball team came out strong in its regional matchup against eighth-seeded East St. John on Friday, Feb. 22. The Blue Jays lead through the middle of the fourth quarter, but some late free throws by the Wildcats sealed Jesuit’s fate, 39-38. Despite the second-round loss, the 2012-13 campaign can be viewed as nothing but a success as the Blue Jays finished the season 18-12, and as district champions.
