Bowling Team Advances to Bi-Regional Round in Baton Rouge on April 4

Jesuit bowlers won their two regional matchups on March 25-26, defeating Shaw and Holy Cross at All-Star Lanes in Kenner. In Monday’s first round, the Blue Jays defeated the Eagles 23-4. Tuesday, they knocked off the Tigers 18-9. With the victories, Jesuit clinches a spot in the bi-regional playoffs in Baton Rouge on Thursday, April 4.

In the Monday match against Shaw, team lead scorers included senior Cory Ledet with a 644 total series and senior Mike Duran with a 600 total series. Other notable high scorers were junior Chris Totaro with 203 and junior Andrew Prejean with 203 and 227.

On Tuesday, Blue Jays posted impressive high scores against second-seeded Holy Cross for the team win. Jesuit’s lead scorers were Cory Ledet with a 252, 238, 267 (757) series and Andrew Prejean with a 242, 201, 236 (679) series. Also posting notable scores were Chris Totaro with 209 and 201, and sophomore Ben Ainsworth with 241.
