Blue Jays Golfers Win by Forfeit over St. Augustine

The Jesuit golf team ran its fall record to 5-0 without breaking a sweat. The Blue Jays won the district match on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Lakewood Golf Club, when St. Augustine failed to field a team.

With another victory, the second one this season secured by forfeit, assistant coach Sean Hillis decided to play an intrasquad match. Team Dufour defeated Team Blagrove 148-153.

Playing for Team Dufour were senior Will Dufour (36), sophomore Carlo Carino (40), freshman Nolan Lambert (40), and sophomores Henry Mitchell (50) and Grant Glorioso, who posted a personal best score of 32. Glorioso posted four birdies and five pars in the front-nine exhibition.

Seniors Alex Anderson (36), C.J. Blagrove (38), Joe McAloon (39), and Cole Johnson (40), joined sophomore Jonathan Cedro (43) on Team Blagrove.

The Blue Jays face Archbishop Rummel on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Lakewood.
