Blue Jays Finish Undefeated at Weekend Meet in Dallas

The Jesuit varsity wrestling team travelled to the Dallas area this past weekend for the Grapevine Duals and returned home with the first place plaque. Twenty teams from Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas competed.

The following wrestlers went undefeated in their matches: Seniors Mitch Capella (113), Gage Grush (182), and Manny Armour (195), junior Efosa Eboigbe (145), and sophomore Ben D’Antonio (120).

Other Blue Jays who helped bring home the hardware include seniors Zac Creel (235), Christian Queyrouze (160), Jimmy Brown (170), juniors Nicky Charles (106) and Gaston Eymard (152), and sophomores Will Lafranca (126), Andrew Russo (132), Freeman Matthews (138), and Dominic Carmello (220).

The Blue Jays will travel to Baton Rouge for the Louisiana Classic on January 18. Jesuit’s only home meet of the year will be against district rival Brother Martin on Wednesday, January 23.
