Blue Jays Finish Tied for Second at LHSAA Regional in Hammond

Chad Laborde ’98, who served as head coach of the Blue Jay golf team last year,
returned to offer his support. Laborde remains friends with many of his former golfers.
The Jesuit golf team qualified for the state championship tournament in Shreveport by finishing tied for second at Carter Plantation in Springfield on Tuesday, April 23. St. Paul’s captured the top spot with a team total 298. Jesuit and Denham Springs finished at 328. Zachary qualified with a score of 332. The Blue Jays finished with the following individual scores: Junior C.J. Blagrove (80), freshman Grant Glorioso (82), senior Nick Ingles and junior Will Dufour (83). Freshman Carlo Carino’s 92 was discarded. Senior Jack Culotta is serving as the team’s alternate. The top four teams and top four individuals not on one of the top four teams move on to the state tournament which will be played at East Ridge Country Club and Shreveport Country Club starting on Monday, April 30.
